Organic Honeys
Multifloral Οrganic honey
A whole mountain in a jar…
Organic “Wild Forest” honey.
It comes from a wide variety of nectar and honeydew.
The swarms are permanently installed in suitable areas within the NATURA 2000 network, leaving the bees in the process of homogenizing the honey inside the hive. Harvesting takes place after the last flowering. Its taste and aroma are an amazing combination of wildflowers, wild herbs, and aromatic plants. Its color varies depending on its plant origin.
Its biological value is high, because it combines the characteristics of more than one type of honey, due to the biodiversity of the flora and the natural coexistence of tree vegetation in combination with a multitude of wild flowers, aromatic plants, and herbs.
TAVROS specializes in the Organic Honey “Wild Forest” harvest due to the fact that it constitutes the culmination of all the other honey types available in nature.
Our honeys have received multiple awards by BIOLMIEL, the International Organic Honey Competition
Monofloral Organic Honeys (pure)
Organic “Fir Forest” honey, Organic “Pine Forest” honey & Organic “Thyme” honey.
They come from a single type of nectar or honeydew.
From a chemical point of view, honey is an aqueous solution of various compounds such as sugars, trace elements, enzymes, and vitamins which give, depending on the case, aroma, color and flavor. It also contains a significant number of pollen grains from the plants that the bee visits to collect the raw material for honey production. Based on these characteristics, honey is categorized according to its origin into pure, blossom honey, or honeydew honey. For honey to be characterized as “pure,” it must contain a specific proportion of pollen grains from the plant it comes from, as well as meet a total number of characteristics above the threshold set by the relevant legislation. The higher this percentage, the purer and stronger in properties and taste the honey is.
